My name is Noah Kahle, and I am ten years old. I started in 2022 in junior stars the red plate class at Albemarle speedway. In my first year I learned the basics of racing and was able to get faster each week of my first season. In 2023 I will be running the junior sportsman class. I’m excited to race with new people and learn from the whole Sunray racing team. I am thankful for my parents for getting me into racing and supporting me as we progress. In my free time I like to play video games with my friends and like to play football.

My name is Logan Kahle and I am 15 years old. I race the #24 kart, and this will be my second season of go karting. Currently I race at Albemarle speedway in the Ducar junior 3 novice class. I also ran junior sportsman class, but I switched to Ducar junior 3 novice because it was my right age group. I ran pretty good in my first season and learned a lot. The hardest part for me of go karting was learning to control the speed and learning the apex of the corner. I’m looking forward to learning a lot from sunray racing teammates and gaining a lot of experience. I am thankful for my family's support in go karting. In my free time I like to play iRacing and play football.

My name is Brad Lorcher-Bond, driver of the #25 SRR kart from Chesapeake Virginia. I’ve grown up with gasoline running through my veins. My Dad grew up on a farm in Idaho running Demo-Derbys with his brother as a pastime. Thanks to my Dad’s love of the automobile, he took me to every car show, auction, or race there was in the area throughout my entire childhood. I found a love of racing around age 5 becoming a die-hard Jimmie Johnson fan. #JJ4life. On Fridays in elementary and middle school, my dad would surprise me, picking me up in his corvette and taking us down to our local indoor go-kart place. It would be here where I would first meet David Nettles, now my mentor and crew chief, who offered to sell me one of his karts after watching me set the fastest lap in the race. Fast forward to 2022 and I am starting my 5th season with Nettles and his team in the VDKA series gunning for the Clone Novice Med. & Heavy championships after winning my first 5 races in the class last season. Massive thanks to David Nettles for helping me get into racing and for all the support from my dad, Steve Lorcher, and mom, Susan Bond.

My name is Rebekah Overmire and I was drawn to racing to spend time with my Father, Neal, and my beloved brother, (pun intended) Joshua. Joshua inspired me to push my limits and get out of my comfort zone. I began racing karts in the rookie class in 2021 at ten years old. I won a few races in my bubblegum pink kart that year with the support of my family and teammates. In 2022, I started the kart racing season competing in six races. By mid summer, my heart was drawn toward equestrian. I can still hear my dad say, "You have to pick one, honey." I picked equestrian, but the joke's on him. I'm still at the track for every race!!! I love being a vital member of the pit crew no matter how dirty the job. I have to thank David Edward Nettles for helping me and continuing to welcome and support me even as I pursue other interests. I enjoyed my time racing and still enjoy my time at the track (I'll still jump in my brother's kart and turn a few laps from time to time to scratch the itch :P )

I developed a passion for motorsports as a child watching my father race at South Boston Speedway. My family supported my interest by putting me behind the wheel of a kart at a young age and I'm overwhelmed by their continued support to this day! I watched the Sunray Racing team from behind the microphone as an announcer for much the 2021 and 2022. When I got back in the seat of the #48 kart at the 15th annual Turkey Trot in November of 2022, all of my friends at Sunray Racing immediately showed their support. I look forward to giving back to the up-and-coming drivers on our team and all those around us as we all work and learn together to continue building something we can be proud of in 2023 and beyond.
