In life and in racing, my aim is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ. As a father to young racers, I love developing children‘s passions and talents and using every opportunity to point to the inexhaustible grace of the Lord. In racing, success and failure are both temporary. I enjoy rejoicing in the victories, sharing in the failures and disappointments, and using every opportunity to learn and teach. As a young man I raced with my father, the late Brad Overmire, and have many fond memories of our time spent together at the racetrack and in the shop. My Father taught me to think, to work with my hands, to solve one problem at a time, and that in nearly everything, complexity is the enemy of success! I can still hear his voice, saying, “keep it simple… sweetheart!” Away from the track, I’m blessed to have a lot of meaningful work as a cybersecurity leader and solutions architect. I enjoy spending time with family, friends, and all of the people that make my life so rich, being outdoors, reading a good book, cold brew coffee, and lemonade on a hot day. I’m grateful to the Lord for our teammates, our competitors, and all of wonderful people that I am privileged to call my friends that I may never have known if it weren’t for the unique combination of His amazing grace and the pursuit of speed!
